Welcome to Sunrise Preschools in Phoenix, where we pride ourselves on being a high-quality early learning center. My name is Kimberlena Rice, and I am the school Director. At our school, we strive to ensure that parents feel safe and secure leaving their children with us and that those children leave every day smiling. We know that early education is integral in establishing a solid foundation for their child's educational journey.
Our goal for students is to foster an environment where each child can challenge themselves and achieve success. As many of our staff are parents themselves, we understand how rewarding and demanding a parent's role can sometimes be, especially as a working parent. We are committed to providing a supportive community for the families we serve. We all want our students to be happy, nurtured, and provided with the best learning opportunities. Our staff members provide a safe environment and nurture your child on their learning journey while giving them the freedom to explore and develop in a warm and caring environment.

We believe in maintaining open and ongoing communication with parents. We provide regular updates via SPS Moments, including photos, details of your child’s day, and important announcements. We also offer parent-teacher conferences and are always available for in-person or phone conversations.
Our HighReach Learning Curriculum incorporates a variety of activities designed to support children’s physical, emotional, and cognitive development. From creative arts and crafts to outdoor play, music, and early literacy programs, each day is filled with engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage hands-on learning through play.
Yes! We provide free nutritious meals and snacks throughout the day, prepared following USDA and CACFP guidelines. Our menu caters to children’s dietary needs and preferences, ensuring they receive healthy and balanced meals while in our care.
Yes, Sunrise Preschool 40th St & Ray is fully licensed and adheres to all state and local regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of every child in our care. Many of our locations also hold additional quality ratings and accreditations, highlighting our commitment to high standards in early childhood education.
We take allergies and dietary restrictions very seriously. We encourage parents to share any specific needs their child(ren) during enrollment, and we’ll make sure your their meals are prepared safely. Our center also follows a nut-free policy, and we’re careful to prevent cross-contamination in our kitchen.

4/9/2026My children have been attending nearly a year. The staff are nurturing, compassionate and care about the children. Kaleika and Director Shenique are involved in the classrooms, I see the support they give the children, and have a great working relationship with the staff. This is truly what a center needs to have a positive environment. I've seen centers that are only there for the check. The center is clean! With summer time approaching I know the children will have outings and projects to keep them occupied throughout the day. My children stay full time and this is important. Ms. Edna the Cook is awesome! The kitchen is always organized and clean. The kids enjoy the meals. If your seeking consistency, try it out I guarantee you'll be satisfied.

The entire school is well maintained & the staff always friendly and engaging. My son used to be upset when dropping him off at our old school. Not anymore! He's always excited to go to school. The peace of mind I get from knowing my son is happy, healthy, learning, and being well cared for makes me love this school

When we have first come to the daycare the teachers were really fast to build positive connection to our child and that has happened in every age group our kid has been transferred to. The staff are always friendly, supportive, our kid has no problems going to the daycare every day.

Hil os very outgoing and welcoming. The school is clean and smells great. The staff all say hello to you gives a good vibe coming into the school.
