Welcome to Sunrise Preschool on 21st Ave and Indian School in Phoenix! I'm Joanne Youyetewa, the School Director. I've been with Sunrise Preschools for over 19 years. I've worn many hats in that time from teaching four-year-olds to working as a cook, and even stepping into various leadership roles like Assistant Director. While I've enjoyed every position, my favorite has always been working with the four-year-olds. Those years gave me invaluable experience and the chance to build strong connections with both the kids and their parents. Now, as the Director, I love where I'm at in life. Meeting new families and staying connected with the ones who’ve been with us for years is truly rewarding. There’s nothing like seeing kids I once cared for grow up, and when they come back to give me a hug, it’s the best feeling in the world. My team and I are committed to providing a supportive community for the families we serve. We all want our students to be happy, nurtured, and provided with the best learning opportunities.
