Welcome to Sunrise Preschools Porter Road, where we pride ourselves on being a high-quality early learning center. My name is Shenique Hill, and I am the school Director. At our school, we strive to ensure that parents feel safe and secure leaving their children with us and that those children leave every day smiling. We know that early education is integral in establishing a solid foundation for their child's educational journey. Our goal for students is to foster an environment where each child can challenge themselves and achieve success. As many of our staff are parents themselves, we understand how rewarding and demanding a parent's role can sometimes be, especially as a working parent. Our HighReach Learning Curriculum incorporates a variety of activities designed to support children’s physical, emotional, and cognitive development. From creative arts and crafts to outdoor play, music, and early literacy programs, each day is filled with engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage hands-on learning through play.

Yes, Sunrise Preschool Porter & Honeycutt is fully licensed and adheres to all state and local regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of every child in our care. Many of our locations also hold additional quality ratings and accreditations, highlighting our commitment to high standards in early childhood education.
We take allergies and dietary restrictions very seriously. We encourage parents to share any specific needs their child(ren) during enrollment, and we’ll make sure your their meals are prepared safely. Our center also follows a nut-free policy, and we’re careful to prevent cross-contamination in our kitchen.

The faculty is very clean. When ever I have any issues they address it and fix it right away. I love that Preschool. I love the staff there my kids love the daycare that they go to and we won’t be leaving. highly recommend

2/17/2026My 3-year-old daughter attended Sunrise Preschool for the past year, and I cannot say enough about the care and support we received. After a season of major life changes—including a cross-country move—she was struggling, but the teachers and staff at Sunrise made all the difference for both her and our family. They supported us through her transition into full-time care for the first time, into preschool, and into establishing new routines in an entirely new state—with patience, kindness, and genuine care. I watched her go from struggling at drop-off each day to looking forward to school, meeting and surpassing her milestones, and opening up to new people, experiences, and opportunities in the most beautiful way. Grateful doesn’t begin to cover how thankful I am to the administrators, teachers, and staff at Sunrise for helping guide my daughter through such an important period and giving her exactly what she needed to thrive. Saying goodbye when we moved was not easy—her new preschool has some very big shoes to fill!

I am so grateful for Andrea and how comforting she was in the beginning days of my daughter’s attendance. It was not easy for me and Andrea just gave me that reassurance that I needed. Miss Angie is also my angel on earth. My daughter loves her and she makes her feel like family. I love all the staff, please keep this energy going. Sunrise doesn’t get all the good attention, and I hope this comment does.

10/15/2025If I could give Sunrise Preschool more than 5 stars, I would! They deserve all the stars, a parade, and maybe a coffee sponsorship for the teachers who somehow keep up with our little tornadoes every day. The teachers are amazing, kind, and somehow manage to keep up with a room full of toddlers without losing their sanity (which deserves an award by itself). My son is so attached to his favorite teacher that when she takes one single vacation day, you’d think the world ended. I get about 47 questions an hour: “Where’d she go? Is she coming back? Can she NOT take vacations anymore?” so basically, she’s not allowed to leave ever again (sorry, we don’t make the rules). Sunrise Preschool truly feels like a second home for our kids. They’re learning, laughing, and coming home with the biggest smiles (and sometimes a little paint in their hair). We couldn’t be happier thank you, Sunrise team, for loving our kids like your own!

This location specifically is filled with wonderful woman who care about the children genuinely and are meant to be handling young children. It is a safe and respectful environment and you can trust to leave your child with them and know that they are going to encourage them to thrive. I am happy with my choice and I recommend all moms looking for a good day care to send their kids to schedule a tour with them here!

6/11/2024We first brought our son over when he was 16 weeks old. In the first two months, management had changed and it was definitely for the better. Andrea and Shenique are absolutely amazing. They have done everything in their power to better this place and it shows! All of the women that were with my son were amazing. Autumn, Lauren, Socoro and I'm sure I'm missing a few names but ALL of them have been nothing less than perfection when it comes to the care they gave to my son. We appreciate each and every one of you. We thank you for going above and beyond for us. Troy loved doing art and we loved bringing it home. You taught him so much more than we could. He excelled and it's all to you!! The atmosphere is amazing. It's clean. They care! That's the most important part...they actually CARE. They loved our son just as we did. Thank you ladies. You set the standard for us and we will be forever grateful. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for daycare. We love you ladies...especially Troy!!!

2/19/2024This is our first time using a daycare with any of our 5 kids, so we came in very uneducated and fumbling over ourselves. Marcela and staff were very helpful and reassuring. When we have a rough morning dropping our daughter off, teachers are awesome in helping turn it into a wonderful day! I love the app and the updates, daily reports and cute memories pictures of our daughter at play! All around a wonderful experience! Rates are competitive and they are DES accredited. Services kiddos from little tikes to school ages. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are well balanced. Highly recommend this center! 1 year later adding an update: still constantly impressed by this daycare center! My daughter is learning spanish, French, and ASL! I'm liking the updated new system

1/15/2024My granddaughter goes here and she has been attending for quite some time. I know that no one will be better at raising your kids than you, but child care is a must, anywhere. So quit the complaining let them take care of business so you can make the money at work to take care of your business, or you going to tell me your place of business is better?. If you have a concern address it to the staff but be polite about it, we are all adults. As for me, it’s been excellent. Thank you for the years of service you have provided to my grandchild.

2/20/2023Great environment for my 2 year old daughter. When she first went there a year ago, she was scared and would cry a little as we hold her before we enter. Now she walks in the building by herself and enjoys it. Setting is very similar to a school environment. They serve breakfast/lunch/snacks. They teach her many things, including how to use the potty.

5/15/2019WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE SUNRISE PRESCHOOL MARICOPA! I started my 3 yr old son here a month ago and he is excited to go back everyday. The staff is wonderful, the teachers are nurturing and tentative, and the building is beautiful. My son is finally willing to try new foods at meal times, is on a schedule, and loves bringing home his projects. Sending him to Sunrise Preschool was the best decision I have made for his development and I know he is safe in their care. I would recommend them to anybody 100%.
